Amazing how some little things get missed in beta trials! Various minor bugs found in the aftermath of version 2.00 release are fixed here.

Version 2.02, 12-Oct 1992

NEW FEATURES:

• I changed the colours of the registration window because on some displays it was apparently hard to read.
• The conversion utility for TurboLog 1 files now has a safety catch: you need to confirm that you want the conversion to occur. Also note that the version 1 file remains on your hard disk, with an extension of .TL1.

• The BPQ Code interface is enhanced to allow a block of streams to be allocated for use by TurboLog. TurboLog will not attempt to access streams outside of this range.

Version 2.04, 07-Nov 1992

NEW FEATURES:

• When doing Alt-L, P, I or Q in logbook window, large searches can take some time particularly on slow systems. A "Working" indicator in the status window flashes to indicate that something is happening.
• Canadian provinces VY1 (Yukon), VY2 (PEI) and VY3 (New Brunswick (someday?)) are supported in the code and via a new AREAS.DAT file.
• A new parameter, DXCCDISP is added to TURBOLOG.CNF, and allows the selection of which mode's DXCC information will be displayed initially when the DXCC matrix is requested.
• In review mode, when jumping to a date: if no QSOs were made on that date then the review highlight is positioned to the QSOs on the date immediately before that specified. (Requested by G4CCZ)
• Each of the alerting sounds can individually be selected to sound locally, remotely, both or neither, via TURBOLOG.CNF. (Requested by G3OUF)

Version 2.05, 11-Dec 1992

NEW FEATURES:

• A new compiler is now in use: Borland Pascal Version 7. This should have no impact on the operation of the program, but does allow for it to develop further (the old compiler, Turbo Pascal 6 was becoming seriously limiting!).

NEW FEATURES:

• A facility to bulk update the keyword field from a .UID file is implemented. This is useful if you have imported a load of QSOs, say from a contest logging program, and want to add membership keywords to those QSOs you had with members of your club (for example).

Version 2.08, 04-Feb 1993

BUG FIXES:

• Printing all QSL labels (Bureau and Direct), labels were printed even if N was shown in the send QSL field.
• If you did Alt-E from logging window, then packet windows would not display properly afterwards. Sometimes you also got a SEE ERR.LOG message. Also, 2 Alt-Bs were needed to get to the Basic window. (Tnx: G4VXE)

NEW FEATURES:

• In the QSO editor you are warned if you try to enter a band or mode that TurboLog is not aware of.
• Column alignment in edit DXCC prefix displays changed to accomodate the increasing number of countries, particularly in the African Continent. The help messages in this area are also slightly altered to be more consistent.

• In the QSO editor it is now not possible to enter an invalid band or mode.

NEW FEATURES:

• Keyboard translation facility, used primarily in Scandinavia is enhanced. In the logging screen, translation only occurs in the comments field, to allow special characters in names and QTHs. In other fields translation does not occur, so keys such as Alt-P will function normally in them.

Version 2.13, 15-Aug 1993

NEW FEATURES:

• An improved installation program is supplied. This automatically detects the existence of previous versions of TurboLog and if possible updates the TURBOLOG.CNF file directly for you.
• The QSL label facility is improved. Through the label editor, you can now set the maximum width, in columns, that your printer will support and this will fix the maximum number of characters that will ever appear on a line. Truncation occurs if necessary. This should help you to overcome problems with double line spacing due to line wrap-around. (After conversation with GD0PLT.)
• Extensive improvements made to EI5DI Super-Duper import facility to allow import of all known current .ALL file formats. Minor enhancements to K1EA CT import also made.
• The facility on some transceivers to return to previous frequency after a DX spot QSY is removed. This feature seems to have caused a lot of trouble and was affecting reliable operation of the QSY facility.
• A simple icon for use in Windows is included on the distribution disk.
• The DXCC summary display is enhanced in various ways, including a better layout for the QSL numbers and revised separator character.

Version 2.14, 13-Oct 1993

NEW FEATURES:

• The ASCII import of frequency is improved. Frequencies like 7025 and 7.025 will both be correctly imported as being in the 7MHz band, and so on.
• The internal database display (Alt-1 to Alt-0) is totally redesigned to allow you to scroll up and down the resulting output. This is to allow better support for database programs such as W6GO's GODISK which can produce more than 7 lines of output.

Version 2.16, 03-Jan 1994

NEW FEATURES:

• A new COUNTRY.DAT is provided that reflects the major prefix changes in the CIS. This has some implications when entering QSOs prior to 1/1/94. Please review the file CISCALLS.INF for more information.
• GB and IT9 have been removed as countries from COUNTRY.DAT. GB now shows as an ambiguous country since it can appear anywhere in the UK. IT9 is now the same as I. If you have previous QSOs with GB or IT9, you should edit your log file to have the correct country numbers, otherwise your DXCC totals may be incorrect.

BUG FIXES:

• The morse enhancement provided in 2.15 gave problems when running under DOS on some computers. A new parameter, CWHOLDOFF, is provided in TURBOLOG.CNF and this should be set to 0 for DOS use, or about 80 (adjust for correct CW) when running under Windows. (Tnx N6CQ)

Version 2.19, 28-Feb 1994

NEW FEATURE:

• A new parameter is supported in TURBOLOG.CNF, specially for blind users. It affects the DXCC worked displays as follows:

  If BLINDOP is set to NO, then the normal worked displays are shown.

  If BLINDOP is set to YES, then each band has a different character associated with it. Also, the three status indicators (worked-this-period, worked-previous-periods and worked-both-periods) have unique characters. This allows a blind user to tell, via his screen reader, which band he is looking at. The codes are deliberately set up in the extended ASCII character ranges, to prevent "false triggers", as follows: 128 to 139: the 12 bands, worked during this period 140 to 151: the 12 bands, worked in previous periods 152 to 163: the 12 bands, worked this and previous periods. There are thus 36 possible characters that can be displayed. This idea came from GI4OPH, and is in its early stages of development. Ideas for further enhancements are welcome.

Version 2.20, 25-Jul 1994

BUG FIX:

• QSL Label/Data File runs could go wrong if the QSL sent field was blank and you selected the PRINT ALL option. The log showed that labels had been printed but the index file was adrift, so you could not then mark as sent. I think this somewhat convoluted one is fixed, but would appreciate any further reports.
