Please read this information in order to familiarize you with the program. This shareware version of TurboLog comes with limited documentation and will allow you to log up to 100 QSOs by using its full range of features and capabilities.
This means that you cannot only use all logging features but have access to all Packet goodies, CW, CAT, Voice-keyer, Callbook CD-ROM and multimode facilities (Packet, AMTOR, PACTOR, etc.). In order to help you to operate with the program we would recommend to print out the Quick Reference Card which comes along with this program. This document of 8 pages contains all keystroke commands available in TurboLog. Please have a look into the card in order to prevent you from just going by trial and error.
Of course there is a comprehensive printed documentation of 220 pages of TurboLog which comes along with the licence key. From inside the program you have full access to the ONLINE HELP.
1. Copy the downloaded file TL3INST.EXE into a temporary intermediate directory such as C:\TEMP. If it does not exist on your hard disk just create it.
Do not (!!!!) copy the download file directly into your TURBOLOG directory.
Please also note: We are only dealing with just one (1) file for the future.
2. Next move into the TEMP directory and start TL3INST.EXE from there. Enter Y(es) for starting the procedure.
3. You are prompted for the drive to install on. Note: You must always install on top of the version which you want to update.
4. If you did not customize any of TLīs files you can always press the N-key on the prompts following the start of the installation.
5. Start TL as usual from the directory which you just updated. Right after the start-up screen you are prompted for entering your CALL and the LICENCE KEY which we have sent you. If you do not enter the latter you will obtain a DEMO version. I hope you will not forget to correctly enter your CALL.....hi! Press F-10 to finish and continue.
6. Ready! You will not be asked for these inputs in future sessions.
8. If you want to turn your DEMO into a fully licenced version you can do this at any convenient date later on. You move into the INFORMATION menu and select sub item
CALL & LICENCE-info.
Enter the dialogue and give the correct inputs.
