Version 3.01, 24-Oct 1994
BUG FIXES:
- Installing over a previous version of TL2 resulted in corrupt
DXCC database and incorrect country counts. (Tnx G4CCZ)
- Minor alignment errors in the keyword listing screen display
corrected.
- If the screen-saver operated whilst in the basic packet
window, then return to logging screen was corrupted. (Tnx G4VXE)

Version 3.02, 15-Jan 1995
NEW FEATURES
- INFO display improved to include approximate number of QSOs
that can be logged in the current free disk space.
- In contest and DXpedition modes where locators are in use,
the keyword field is ignored, making QSO entry easier. If you still want to
enter a keyword, use the # format in the comments line.
- In the multimode screen, clicking on the MODE indicator
now presents a menu of data modes which can be immediately selected using
the mouse.
- In DXCC worked matrix display, the display can show what
you have worked in the current, previous or all DXCC accounting periods. Display
is toggled using the letter P, or can be selected from the F10 menu.
- QSL label operations to the printer do not complete with
a form feed. This was requested by a number of users to avoid wasting labels.
- Band units can now be displayed in the logbook listings.
- Grab (Alt-G) now automatically determines the country of
the spot.
- Upper and lower case is now supported in the multi-mode screen.
If it is essential that your TU receives upper case for a specific mode, then
you can force all characters to upper case by placing the statement $UPPERCASE
in the appropriate .MMM file. Suggested location is after the initialisation
section.

Version 3.03, 01-Apr 1995
NEW FEATURES
- Invalid log file names cannot now be entered. Invalid characters
are replaced with a #.
- The internal country number used by TurboLog and G3WGV Contest
log can now be exported using the logbook listings utility, and imported via
the ASCII import utility. This enables ambiguous country resolution to be
retained through an export/import cycle.
- You can now pass the logging/spot frequency to database
programs executed via Alt-0 to Alt-9. The substitution field is %F. See sections
5 and 21 of the User's Guide for more information. Also refer to the on-line
information for a list of the various substitution fields.
- In contest/DXpedition modes, an auroral report (eg: 59A)
can now be entered.

Version 3.04, 01-May 1995
NEW FEATURES
- Exporting to the IOTA program IOTAMEM implemented. A .UIF
file is exported with the logbook filename root.
- Minor enhancement to sunrise/sunset routine. If there is
no sunrise/sunset then the display shows ^030N/S^030 when the sun never sets
^031N/R^031 when the sun never rises.
- Size of executable code reduced by 12kB by redesigning the
messages database system. Three new files, with extension .INT are generated
automatically in the root directory as part of this change.
- Significant enhancement to DXCC matrix displays (F7 from
the log screen). The matrix can now also display countries in each of the
CQWW and ITU zones in exactly the same way as continents are currently shown.
Several new and changed key-strokes are needed to support this enhancement,
please refer to on-line help and the manual corrections under General Information.
- On start-up, program goes directly to logging screen rather
than the main menu. The main menu can still be accessed by simply pressing
Escape.
- Minor enhancements made to the transceiver interface to
improve the chances of the link being established at the first try.
COUNTRY.DAT:
- A revised COUNTRY.DAT is issued with TL3.04, following significant
input from G4JFS (Tnx!).

Version 3.05, 03-Jul 1995
NEW FEATURES
- In CW and voice keyboard mode, the cursor keys could be used
to stop sending. Some folks didn't like that, whilst others did, so a new
parameter is included in the morse and voice keyer advanced setup screens
to turn this feature on or off. The same parameter is used for both modes,
so the feature is off or on for both modes.

Version 3.06, 19-Sep 1995
NEW FEATURES
- QSOs can be marked as contributing to your DXCC score or
not. If you import QSOs from another program and respond NO to the update
DXCC request, then these QSOs will not be counted even if you do a DXCC rebuild.
The QSO editor has a new line item called "DXCC" which allows you to say whether
the QSO should be counted in future. More information on this feature is in
the general information file.
- The ASCII import facility is improved to handle wavelengths
as well as frequency bands. The user is prompted for which format is in use.
(from a suggestion by G4UOL - tnx.)
- The Rate Meters in DXpedition and Contest modes are meaningless
when in post- event mode and have therefore been deleted from the statistics
window except when real-time logging.
- In the QSO editor, line 25 now contains a help message telling
you what is expected in each field.
- If you open a log in read-only mode, then the log file name
display in the top status line is shown in red.
- IOTAMEM support for IOTA programme members is greatly enhanced,
allowing band mode and QSO range to be selected, and export formats to be
saved for future use.
- QSO editor: You can now edit whether the QSO is logged using
band information only or full frequency logging. (From a suggestion by G4ZBD)
COUNTRY.DAT:
- A further revised COUNTRY.DAT is issued with TL3.06, following
input from G3TXF (Tnx!).

Version 3.07, 21-Oct 1995
NEW FEATURES
- An external services procedure is available to programmers,
allowing selected access to TurboLog's internal databases. Programmers are
invited to review the programmer's information section under the INFORMATION
pull-down menu. Please note that this facility is in its infancy. Ideas for
further development are solicited.
- The database display window now has up and down indicators
to show that there is more information above/below the area currently being
displayed.
- The "jump to" feature (F9 in review mode) is enhanced to
allow you to jump to a QSO number as well as to date.
- Support for FT1000MP, TS870 and IC738 transceivers added.
NB: The FT1000MP (known as the FT1kMP in TL) has a totally different interface
to the FT1000 and other Yaesu transceivers and this caused me a considerable
amount of work. My thanks are due to Don, G3OZF for the loan of the rig. Without
it I certainly would never have worked out what to do from the scanty information
in the user manual. Please see the on-line general information file for more
details.
- In menus (e.g. the external databases menu) any unused lines
are skipped when using cursor up/dn keys.
- The list to screen utility, which is used by all the listing
generators as well as on-line help, is enhanced, to include facilities to
permit you to print all or part of the file directly.
- I have been coerced into putting POKELINK into TL3. Please
see the section in the general information file for more details.
- As you probably noticed when you first started TL following
the upgrade, TL now automatically rebuilds all index files for the upgraded
program. You'll see a new file xxxxxx.VER for each log that you maintain which
is used to control this process. Don't delete it!
COUNTRY.DAT:
- M series calls added to COUNTRY.DAT in readiness for issue
starting April 96.
back to version index
Version 3.08, 15-Nov 1995
NEW FEATURES
- The DXCC information display is enhanced, following suggestions
from G0PSE. Two new columns show QSLs received and accepted during the current
DXCC period. You will need to rebuild your DXCC database when you upgrade
for meaningful figures to appear in the new columns.
back to version index
Version 3.09, 16-Mar 1996
NEW FEATURES
- A comment line is now shown as such in the analysis window
when in review mode.
COUNTRY.DAT:
- A revised COUNTRY.DAT is issued with this version, following
much detailed work by Bren, G4DYO. If anyone knows about these things, it's
Bren and I am grateful to him for his efforts.

Version 3.10, 28-Apr 1996
NEW FEATURES
- G3WGV LOG import utility now prompts for power field info.
- The callsign stack facility is greatly enhanced. From the
logging window callsign field, press Alt-F then select "Help" for full information.
- In filtered and unfiltered screens, F2 QSYs the rig and
also places the associated callsign into the logging screen callsign field.
