YAESU and ICOM have obviously changed the CAT firmware for several rigs while series production was in full swing. This is annoying for the user since changes were not documented in most cases. The differences are usually small. The smallest change, however, is still sufficient to cause link failures. We have implemented different firmware versions for the same rig to the best of our knowledge. In case you experience a malfunction for a rig which appears in a multiple variety you should always try all different implementations. If none of them works for you and you are sure that your link otherwise works......alas there is a new clone. Please contact us for help and instruction on how to proceed. So far we were able to adapt all clones and oddities to TurboLog 4.
TurboLog 4 will almost certainly work with other rigs currently not on the list as well, though you might need to alter the handshake strings according to the interface documentation of your rig. The necessary steps are described in Cat Operations. In any case it turned out to be quite successful to try a couple of the same manufacturer's rigs as available from the above list. You should in particular try rigs which were produced in overlapping time periods, close-up followers, etc..
