The Demo Cluster

The Demo Cluster is a very useful test facility. It can be used in order to check the packet filters for incoming spots, test the Alerts & Alarms, CW, Voice and other related facilities. The demo cluster is not a complete emulation of a packet cluster. It will only send spots and accept cluster communication. It will, however, not respond to inputs.

The facility can be activated from the packet menu bar by clicking the DisConnectbutton. Clicking the third  sub item will start the demo cluster to send spots according to the parameters specified in the Packet item of the Configuration menu.

The demo cluster facility will replay spots from an ASCII text file in :\TL4\PACKET_TEST. You can edit these files to your needs or provide a completely new file of your own records from a cluster. The file is cyclically replayed until you disconnect from the demo cluster.
