MY_NAME

This is the field to enter your own name or any personal nickname which you want to attach to the QSO. There are 40 characters available for this. The purpose of the My_Name field is many fold. In mobile operations you could insert any information describing your location, e.g.: "Alwin, mobile in JO42MX". Club stations could log the operator's name in this field.   Another application is in printing personalized QSL cards, such as: "Operated by [My_Name]".

You can insert whatever you want into this field. Please bear in mind, however, that you can run a database search on any of the fields on the loginput line. Precise data with respect to the application which you have in mind would help a lot in carrying out this task.

The My_Name field does not belong to the QSO essentials. In view of the many benefits, however,  we  recommend to maintain this field on the active part of the log input line.

Please note: 

There is no checking for data integrity with respect to this field while the QSO is logged.

Another way to access the My_Name field is via the logging information frame. As long as the My_Name information is displayed on the frame the data will automatically be logged with every QSO. With respect to the field properties of My_Name it is beneficial to keep content as the default.
